1. LGBT inclusion at work – for HR, team leaders and diversity and inclusion professionals

As a team manager/HR manager you are able to use the power of sexual and gender diversity. Diverse teams perform better and are more innovative and inclusive workplaces are better at attracting and retaining happy and healthy employees. In your role you can come out as a proud ally and make your workplace more inclusive.

Creating an inclusive workplace for LGBT+ people starts with raising knowledge, skills and awareness of prevailing social norms such as the heteronorm, gendernorms,… By understanding these norms and how they influence discrimination and privileges we’ll make it possible to tackle unconscious bias regarding LGBT+ people. This awareness will help you adjust policies towards a more inclusive approach for all employees, from recruitment till end of career, in such a way you’ll be able to maximize the potential of the employees. A happy workplace delivers a strong and productive team!

Duration and delivery format

The duration of this training is one day. It’s a hands-on training focussed on capacity building of the participants in order to create a more inclusive workplace. In order to have a deeper understanding of the own identity (aspects), participants are asked to reflect upon themselves by running through an e-learning module before the actual training. This innovative blended learning method will make the difference on achieving the individual learning goals.

2. LGBT inclusion at work – for senior management

Creating an inclusive workplace for LGBT+ people starts with raising self-awareness of one’s identity. Therefore we dismantle your identity (aspects) and the prevailing social norms in society. By understanding and reflecting on your own identity we’ll make it possible to tackle unconscious bias regarding LGBT+ people. This awareness is a first step in raising a better understanding of how to make diversity your business. Having a clear view on these matters will help participants to profile their brands as inclusive and create more productive and happy workplaces.

Duration and delivery format:

The duration of this training is one day. It’s a hands-on training focussed on capacity building of the participants in order to create a more inclusive workplace by understanding the own identity. In order to have a better understanding on gender diversity and sexual orientation participants are asked to run through an e-learning module before the actual training which will provide a good theoretical base. This blended learning method will make the difference on achieving the individual learning goals more efficient during the actual and more self-reflective course.
